SELF-REGULATION: Its Biological and Social Function

 

The examination of the work of Wilhelm Reich and A.S. Neill and its impact on our current understanding of the human condition: sexuality, child-rearing, education and interpersonal relations.

 

 

Presentations:

 

Dr. Wendy R. Kohli: "Educating Children for Self-Regulation: Reflections of a Free School Teacher.”

Wendy Kohli, PhD, is a Professor in the Graduate School of Education at Fairfield University.

 

Dr. Harry Lewis: “Basic Concepts of Self-Regulation: Homer Lane, Wilhelm Reich, A.S. Neill and the influence of their ideas and practice on modern child-rearing, education, and inter-personal relations,” and “Our Roots in Nature: clinical applications of self-regulation treatment.”

Harry Lewis, EdD, is an orgone therapist in private practice and the co-director of The Institute for the Study of the Work of Wilhelm Reich. He has been a member of the faculty at the New School for Social Research for the past twenty-five years.

 

Dr. Philip W. Bennett: “Self-Regulation and the Organization of Society: Reich and Anarchism, Part I.”

Philip Bennett, PhD, is a semi-retired college professor, currently teaching in the School of Education at Quinnipiac University , in Connecticut .
